 <title>City Responds to Death of Local Woman</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;After nearly four days of speculation surrounding the death of a Johns Creek woman, city officials have released a statement.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;At a press conference conducted Wednesday by Johns Creek City Manager John Kachmar and Chief of Police Ed Densmore, a prepared statement read by Kachmar stated Darlene Dukes, 39, died in her Johns Creek home at 602 Wales Drive in the St. Andrews apartment complex off Jones Bridge Road. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The death occurred Sat., Aug. 2. Dukes suffered a pulmonary embolism, not diabetic shock as originally confirmed by medical investigators.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Cell Phone Routing Linked to Woman’s Death</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;While official reports have not been released in the weekend death of the 33-year-old Johns Creek woman who died in her apartment home after placing an emergency call to Fulton County 911, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the name of the victim. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ms. Darlene Dukes died of causes that appear to be related to diabetes.  Her death certificate has not yet been made public, but her family has met with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>BREAKING NEWS: 33-Year-Old JC Woman Dead </title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;News sources tell The Post that on Sat., Aug. 2, at approximately 1 p.m., a 33-year-old Johns Creek woman called 911 for medical care.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Her call was routed to the Fulton County 911 Emergency Dispatcher. However, her request for help was not received by the Fulton County Fire Department/EMS until 30 minutes later. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Forty-five minutes elapsed before Rural/Metro Ambulance Service received the call.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The woman allegedly died while waiting for care for complications from diabetes, say sources.&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The Johns Creek City Council approved Monday a resolution that will allow CH2M HILL OMI, the consulting firm that oversees city operations, to provide Informational Technology (IT) services to the local fire department.&lt;/p&gt;

In the early hours of July 17, a Johns Creek police officer identified a man walking on State Bridge Road by the Target parking lot. The officer saw a long black object on the man’s back with a strap across the front, what initially appeared to be a rifle with a sling.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Following a June 21 Job Fair, which introduced the upcoming Johns Creek Fire Department to firefighters from across Metro-Atlanta, a total of 300 applications have been received, to date, for the Department’s 78 firefighter positions.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>City Approves Comp Plan</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The Johns Creek City Council has approved a comprehensive plan that reaches to 2030.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In a unanimous vote taken at 1:40 a.m. on July 15, council provided the blue print for how the city will develop during the next 20-plus years, including preserving residential character, where commercial nodes should be located, and transportation. A great deal of time was spent cleaning up language and creating consistency to the document.&lt;/p&gt;
