 <title>Georgia Roads&#039; Efficiency Declines</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;According to a study released Thursday by the Reason Foundation, Georgia’s highway system has started to decline.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Georgia roads ranked No. 10 in the nation in the Reason Foundation’s 17th Annual Report on the Performance of State Highway Systems.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Georgia ranked sixth in the nation in last year’s study.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The foundation&#039;s report measures the performance of all state-owned roads and highways from 1984 to 2006.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Campbell&#039;s motion maintains the current mandate that voters must present a photo ID when voting in the Tuesday, July 15  Primary elections.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Perdue Announces Transportation Plan</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Gov. Sonny Perdue has announced a new statewide transportation plan he is calling “Investing in Tomorrow’s Transportation Today,” or IT3. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Perdue announced the plan during a press conference last Thursday. His plan is designed to develop a cooperative body among the Department of Transportation, Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA), the General Assembly. Also, local partners and the executive branch will work to develop strategies to will improve transportation infrastructure throughout Georgia.&lt;/p&gt;
